Description
  • Strengthen the Bank’s ORM Framework and capabilities to be in accordance with best/market practices.
  • Perform research and review industry best practices regarding ORM by applying the information derived, reviewing existing policies, strategies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement on Bank’s ORM approach.
  • Ensure the Bank comply with the internal/regulatory requirements with respect to ORM practices by facilitating, assisting and playing a consultative role to BU/SU in the implementation of ORM processes and tools.
  • To monitor and control all fraud/negligence/breach of the Code of Ethics or other loss event cases reported via Loss Event & Fraud Reporting Desk (LEeF-ReD).
  • Ensure significant operational risks are effectively controlled and monitored via ORM’s tools.
  • Promote risk-aware culture bank-wide and inculcate a culture of “Managing Risk is Everyone’s Business”.
  • Work together with Shariah Risk Management team on the Shariah risk to be in-line with ORM approach and full compliant to relevant Shariah laws and principles.
  • Any other duties/ assignments as and when directed / assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
Requirements
  • Degree in any related discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent with more than 1-year working experience in the banking industry, as well as the experience in operational risk management or audit.
  • Possess any experience in banking operations (Branch and Head Office), Compliance, Audit and Risk Management is an added advantage.
  • Good writing, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good business acumen.
  • Good people skills, a team player and ability to influence others.
  • Deep appreciation of process risk & control, critical & analytical.
